STAY-AT-HOME ORDER
On March 23, 2020, Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb issued Executive Order 20-08. It directs Hoosiers to stay at home to help stop the spread of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19. The order took effect at 11:59pm on March 24, 2020. It lasts until 11:59pm on April 6, 2020.

This document is maintained by the Governor’s staff, not IAR, so it is not specific to real estate
STAY-AT-HOME ORDER & REAL ESTATE
Here’s the email we sent members immediately after the stay-at-home order was issued. We followed up the next day with this email. In sum:
REALTORS® and their clients may still conduct the activities necessary to buy and sell real estate in Indiana during the time period covered by the order so long as they also comply with the social distancing requirements also in the order.
Given that real estate was deemed an essential service in the stay-at-home order, some members have asked what to do if they’re questioned by law enforcement. So, we put together a document you may carry as you travel.
